Visit to Atlanta...

I am SO behind on our posts but am determined to get caught up this weekend - even if there are only pictures to post!

Two weeks ago Ella and Mommy took a last minute trip to Atlanta to visit with family and friends.  It was the first time that Ella and mommy had flown across country since Ella has been walking... Let's just say that mommy had so much anxiety before the flight to Atlanta!  But, as usual Ella did GREAT and did not fuss or cry the entire flight there or back (we even had to sit on the plane an extra hour in San Fran due to air traffic)!

Ella after we arrived in Atlanta from SFO - it was a LONG day!

While in Atlanta we got to spend lots of quality time with grandparents, family and friends! We even got to see a few of mommy's friends for a quick lunch and a birthday celebration for Straka!

One of the days we took Ella to the Children's "Imagine It" Museum.  Ella had a great time running around and exploring with all the hands on activities that they offer.  She had a wonderful time playing with her Mimi and NanaC, and afterward we grabbed lunch at Flip burger (yummy)!

It was a great visit but there is never ever enough time to see everyone or do everything. :-(  Next time I think we are going to have to stay for 2 weeks so that we can see everyone!

Papaw Visit to Danville

Papaw came to visit us last weekend!  We loved having him here and lets just say that Ella had a blast and is going to be one spoiled little girl (in a good way)! Looking forward to his next visit!

Family trip to Napa!

Brandon was on vacation last Friday, so we decided to head to Napa for the day with Ella and Lexi.  We planned on having a picnic and visiting two wineries, but we actually got to do three which was a nice surprise!  It was a little stressful getting everything together for the trip - picnic basket, Ella's bag of goodies, Lexi's water and treats, sunscreen, cooler, etc. - but once we were out the door it was a piece of cake.

Our first stop was Rombauer.  They have beautiful gardens that are nice and shaded and picnic tables everywhere.  We purchased a bottle of wine and headed to find our table.  We got a nice spot that overlooked the vineyards below us and enjoyed a nice lunch.

The "local" dog that lives at Rombauer - he just walked up and sat next to Ella!

Ella picnicking...No, we did not let her drink, although it looks like she was considering it!

Our next stop was not planned, but we had heard good things about Frog's Leap so we decided to stop by and see if they could work us in for a tasting.  They sat us at one of their tables on the porch where they have big ceiling fans which was perfect given it was so hot outside!  We enjoyed our tasting and Lexi and Ella enjoyed the cheese and crackers they provided!

Don't you think Lexi blends right in!

Our last stop was Raymond.  We had heard that they have a great "zoo" of farm animals (mainly goats and sheep), but unfortunately we did not get to see them since they are currently doing a renovation and had all the animals moved to an area in the back of the property.  It was still a nice visit and we enjoyed the friendly staff and the impromptu tour of their private tasting room!

It was a great day and we are ready to go back soon!

Happy Father's Day!

I am so behind in our blog updates and I just realized I never posted pictures from Father's Day!

We had a nice relaxing day.  We cooked daddy breakfast and played outside for a little while.  Later we went to our neighbors for a cookout and enjoyed visiting with everyone.

Ella and Lexi are very lucky to have such a wonderful daddy!  They truly adore him and LOVE him and they light up when he enters the room.  He is so patient and playful and I love seeing their relationship grow each and every day.  Thank you daddy for being so wonderful!
